Parents also find it easier for their 16-year-olds to get their license, since it is more convenient for their children to get to their extracurricular activities. Lastly, the 7th quote proves that waiting until 18 to get a license is too late, since 18-year-olds are too focused on their academics and won’t have time to practice driving. Overall, it’s better to just get a driving license and drive from place to place where it’s safer, easier, and less time-consuming. Rationale: We chose the second text, “Fatal Car Crashes Drop for 16-Year-Olds, Rise for Older Teens?”
For school some students don’t have transportation. So they need a car. But without a driver license they are going to be risking getting pulled over. And getting multiple tickets. The only thing to do to stop 16 year olds that are not ready to drive is make them take a driving class and make it mandatory to pass the test to be able to get driving license.
Although, all teens are not ready to drive on their own there are some that have jobs to get to or sometimes they need their license to get to school because it’s hard on their parents to get them there because of their jobs. When teenagers are living under the roof of their parents or grandparents or whoever their guardian is they are more parental controlled and their parents may tell them where they can and cannot go. When they are 18 and get their license they won’t have that parental guidance or restrictions on what they can do on their license. In today’s youth they are more likely to go to a party or sit around and binge drink, because they don’t really know what it’s like and so they are going to follow the crowd.
Honestly I believe if the boys or girls are old enough to go to driving school and have a high maturity level, they shouldn’t have to have their high school diploma. Especially if they’re still attending school. We all like to have that sense of freedom and trust, right? There’s always going to be accidents, no matter how old you are.
“With great power comes great responsibility.” When Winston Churchill said this quote I felt this could be related back to teen driving. The state legislature is considering on raising the minimum driving age from sixteen to eighteen due to safety concerns. The age should stay at sixteen because it teaches responsibility, when the teen is at the age eighteen the teen will be too busy on trying to get to college and beginning your adult life, and it will not do anything but harm the teen. To begin with, keeping the age will help teach the teen responsibility at a young age.
Students shouldn’t have to wait until they graduate to get their license because, driving is a part of life that
I believe this because first of all, if the driving age were to be raised, it would limits teens’ options for the future and or present. Next, it gives teens more independence, and teaches them about responsibility. Lastly teens can transport themselves and get where they need to be. The cons to raising the driving age outweigh the pros. One reason is that not being able to drive at an earlier age limits teens.
Waiting until you get a high school education so you can obtain a license is absurd due to the fact that teens need to be able to get themselves to-and-from school, work, and to assist their families with chores.
Driving today is a major accomplishment, and many people use that license as a badge of honor. In today's society, people as young as sixteen are eligible to apply for a driver's license. But, is that necessarily a horrid thing. There are many people who attempt to rob adolescents of their ability to receive a license. I believe that sixteen year olds should be able to keep their driving privileges because you must learn at a young age, it teaches adolescents responsibility, and it makes it easier for teens to maintain a career.
I think the driving age should stay at the age of 16 because as you get older you have more experience driving. Every thing goes best when you start young because of all the practice you've had over the years. starting at 16 can can lead some teens to good cares like: NAS car, or driving for movies. I think the age of 16 is a good place to start, because its like they say know more about the job before the interview, so that way you have a better chance of getting the job. Safety still is a problem because 16 year olds are reckless as well so its a bigger chance that more people could be in danger young teens that are behind the wheel going fast and doing what ever else they do when there alone trying to be cool for who ever.
My side of this topic is for the minimum driving age to be raised and have teenagers wait to drive. This position asserts if the minimum age were increased insurance prices would decrease, car crashes would decrease, and the ability for brain development and better decision making would increase. The opposing position disagrees in the raising of the minimum age limit, asserting other alternatives could potentially have the same effect. If my position wins, there could be fewer fatal accidents among teenagers, teenagers may not have to take on large financial pressures at an early age, and many poor decisions can be avoided. Ultimately, the concern is for the safety and longevity of life for the teenage
Schools should not be banning students from driving. Driving continues to be a privilege to teenagers and it should not be taken away due to administrators who determine it is an acceptable idea. Banning students from driving would cause more issues among the relationship between administrators and students. Students earn their driver 's license for a reason; to drive.
The teenage driving age should not be raised because of the safety and emotional health it provides. Teenage driving allows young adults to gain independence. Teenagers spend a lot of time at sporting events, sports practices, after school activities and hanging out with friends, which requires parents to bring them
Teenagers might have extracurricular activities or jobs but that does not mean that it 's vital to get a license. Although many people want a license, they must remember that public transportation is always available and it 's much safer for the environment as more people can be transported to different locations and there would be a decrease in congestion and car accidents. In addition, some people argue that getting your license at a young age teaches you more about responsibility but, the most important question would be, is it worth it to put your life and others in danger just to learn to be responsible or have fun? A million times no. Remember this the next time you think about getting your license at a young
