As a 15 year old, I know that us teenagers are more reckless, so the driving age should not be lowered. First of all, 13 and 14 year olds are not mature enough to handle the responsibility of driving. Would parents really feel good about their kid driving out be themselves? No, the parents would be stressing out all the time, afraid that their child could be in an accident.
The legal age of driving should be raised. To start off, there are teen that can’t mentally and physically drive. Distracting objects such as cell phones, friends in the same vehicle, radio, and anything they can think of are all deadly when driving a 4,000 pound vehicle. Teens are most likely going to be involved in drugs and alcohol. All in all, the legal driving age should be raised for numerous reasons.

I think the driving age should stay at the age of 16 because as you get older you have more experience driving. Teens have outside obligations that require driving to various locations. Parents need to be able to supervise young drivers to influence positive future driving behaviors.
After all, it will only add to the total loss of life from the various errors performed by sixteen-year-old kids. When a teen is driving they are in control and they have to be aware of their surroundings. Driving has taught me how to be more responsible. A sixteen-year-old has to learn to become more responsible when driving a vehicle because if they are not being responsible then they could cause an accident or get a ticket for not obeying the laws. When I am driving I have to be responsible enough to follow the rules and not be a reckless driver. When driving I have to be aware of other drivers that may be careless, as hwy could cause me to be in an accident.
