The death penalty is a surrounded in much controversy, whether people believe it is a necessary evil or if it is inhumane and cruel. Influences of the controversy are personal morals, religious views, and money.

The Death Penalty
The United States has different views on the death penalty (or capital punishment) this has to do with religious views as well as personal morals and money spent toward each execution.
The religious views only slightly differ from each religion but all seem to agree that taking someone’s life no matter the reason is wrong. Religious members are always protesting Capital punishment calling it inhumane and murder. The common practice supported by religious is often isolation or rehabilitation, although it is accepted that some people on death row can’t be rehabilitated.

Most people believe that the death penalty is a necessary evil and should remain in place to keep society safe. Many of the women on death row are suffering from childhood trauma that they have not been able to move past and as such it has caused them to have lasting physiological scars. Some of the men also suffer from some childhood trauma or mental disorder but more often than not the crimes committed are not as meticulous or planned as with women. The crimes committed to land someone on death row have to be premeditated murder or some other form of capital offense. It is possible for those on death row to be acquitted or given a lesser sentence that will either require them to spend life in prison or allow them the chance to be free.
