PROS: The pros of the Louisville scandal were very hard to identify. Being that the scandal was very much the hot topic and caused more bad than good, there are not many pros of this scandal. One pro that I found while reading up on the Louisville Scandal was that it brought the team, school and also the coaches many opportunities of fame and attention. During this time of attention, there was a book published called ‘breaking cardinal rules: Basketball and the Escort Queen.’ The was about Breaking Cardinal Rules is an exposé by escort Katina Powell based on her experiences providing sexual services for the basketball program at the University of Louisville. It is written with Pulitzer Prize-winning investigative journalist Dick Cady.
Powell has filled five journals with details of her escort escapades, sexual encounters and her activities at the University of Louisville. Most of the U of L services she provided took place in the men's dormitory where most of the basket

The cons that I found were that the team and the coaches felt that it was best to punish themselves by refusing to participate in the 2016 NCAA Tournament and any other postseason tourneys. Along with the other punishments that were confirmed, Louisville must vacate 123 wins — every game it won from the 2011-12 through the 2014-15 seasons — and all of its N.C.A.A. tournament appearances during that period, including its 2012 and 2013 trips to the Final Four and the 2013 national championship. It also must forfeit about $600,000 in tournament payouts from those seasons. The scandal under examination by the panel first came to light in 2015 when a woman said that Andre McGee, a former Louisville player then serving on the basketball staff, had solicited her escort service. For several years, she charged, McGee had arranged for prospects and recruits to be entertained by the women in an on-campus
