The video that was reviewed is quite second nature to us today. There is no surprise that the woman uses makeup to cover their natural beauty, or that Photoshop is used to make the woman appear beautiful in society standards. What I see that it is gender biased based on the fact that Photoshop is based on women. Today men are starting to use this method more and more. “It is worth noting that men can suffer from body image, too”. Male models and actors also have their imperfections too, but also Photoshop is used to make them attractive the way society believes them to be. Another bias is fashion. People refer girls as girly, they care more about their appearance. Men today are starting to show more interest in their appearance. “The world men’s jeans market has been increasing marginally over recent years, exceeding 115 million in volume sales in 2010”. Also with shoes girls are obsessed with heels and guys are obsessed with their J’s. It’s a shame that life today is based on the beauty on the outside versus what is in the inside. We grow up with the influence with others around us. Girls are taught to be polite, and boys are taught to be rough. As kids grow up they like to fit in so if girls have to act one way and boys another that’s how they react, this creates the society’s eye of beauty. Maybe it is because I am a girl, but I see that we are biased a lot. I believe that anything that we can be biased as, men can be biased compare to the same. Just as I described above, Photoshop, and fashion can both be compared to guys. Women I believed is looked down upon because the world relies on us to reproduce and so we have to be held high to produce a productive society. But hey that’s just my opinion. My question is what categories do the bisexuals, gays, and lesbians, fall under? Are they separately
