Even though the federal government is democratic in the way that we let people vote who they want in certain positions and people can sometimes vote on laws. It isn't very democratic in the amount of representatives that don't hold or participate in town hall meetings and in my opinion Town hall meetings are pretty important for a community and they should be a fairly common occurrence because they are something that helps the community.

While, town hall meetings are a very useful thing to do to keep you fellow town members informed on what is going on and what is going to happen in your community. The downsides iare it doesn't always happen with a bunch of representatives. The town hall project websites show that 162 representatives have not held a meeting in a long time. That is a very large number to consider. From what i can tell Townhallproject.com there is a total of 15 states that are not holding any town hall events so far, that is 30% of state that don't have any events going on.
