I think that Friar Lawrence, Friar John, and Lord Capulet are to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet. Friar Laurence is the pastor that marries Romeo and Juliet. He plays the role of a person that Romeo and Juliet can confide in. He is not on either side, the Montagues, nor the Capulets. Friar John is Laurence’s brother, who doesn’t play much of a role in till the end of the story. Friar Laurence gives the note for Romeo to Friar John, and tells him to bring the note to Romeo in Mantua. Lord Capulet is Juliet’s biological father, who does not play much of a father in Juliet’s life. I believe that they all three are to blame in the deaths of both Juliet, and also Romeo. Lord Capulet is the one who was forcing the marriage upon Juliet, even though Juliet did NOT want to marry Paris whatsoever. He was not very considerate of Juliet’s feelings when she told him that she did not want to marry Paris. He said that she would do as he says, or else basically he was going to abandon her. “Hang thee, young baggage! disobedient wretch! I tell thee what- geth thee to church a Thursday Or never after look me in the face. Speak not, reply not, do not answer me! My fingers itch. Wife, we scarce thought us blest That God had lent us but this only child; But now I see this one is one too much, And that we have a curse in having her. Out on her, hilding!” (Act 3 Scene 5 Line 160) This is what causes Juliet to come up with the plan to “fake” her death, and have Romeo come and get her. If Lord Capulet did not try to force the marriage, then Juliet would not have faked her death, and Romeo would not have killed himself first. They could have lived somewhat happily ever after together. This situation wouldn’t even have occurred if it weren’t for Lord Capulet. Lord Capulet is the one that caused the whole scenario, so I believe that he is a main suspect
