Everyone has goals, accomplishments, and dreams that they want to pursue. Everyone also has their own interpretations of what grit means. To some people it may mean nothing to them but to others grit is a way to persevere through the hardest times and come out ten times stronger. Grit is what makes people not give up while they are in the process of accomplishing their dreams or goals. The scientific definition of grit in psychology is a positive, non-cognitive trait based on an individual 's passion for a long-term goal or end state, coupled with a powerful motivation to achieve their respective objective. Although many people may not think they contain grit, at least everyone has grit to them. Everyone has experienced a time in their life
