Plebeians!! Who were they? What role did they play in the foundation of the dawn of the Roman Empire? If they were so important, why were they oppressed? Looks like a paradox to me! Nonetheless, history is full of similar stories about such important individuals who were not even given their simple rights. Seems that governments always underestimate the importance of their people as one unit, they only discover too late. They don't seem to understand that a divided society won't flourish.
