The Scientific Method is a relatively simple concept and the base of all scientific experiments. First, you form a hypothesis about a natural event, then perform experiments to test this hypothesis. Finally, you draw conclusions from the results and see if they match your hypothesis. To put it simply, it is a way collecting and analyzing data. But what does this have to do with history? The Scientific Method ties in with the ideas of rationalism and inductive reasoning. It indulges our desire to gain knowledge of ourselves and the world we live in.
