1 Sometimes people aren’t told the truth. Other times, the truth will come out one way or another if it isn’t told. The truth will ALWAYS come out. Erik has made some decisions that have affected Paul’s life immensely. Paul Fisher was a soccer player at multiple schools. Paul has an older brother named Erik. Erik is an All-Star Football player at his school. But when nobody else is around, he becomes the Devil. Erik seems like the perfect Angel on the outside but on the inside, there’s a darker part to him. Mom and Dad never disciplined Erik so he made some horrible choices in life that Paul had to pay for. 2 Furthermore, Erik is the reason for Paul’s greatest life challenges. This has affected the entire town, not just Paul. “I saw you kill Luis Cruz” (Bloor 262). Paul was in great grief after hearing the news of Luis Cruz’s death. This shows how horrible Erik’s actions are and how he shows no remorse. He’s never gotten disciplined before by Mom and Dad. 4 After that, Mom and Dad decided to try and figure out what Paul could and couldn’t be able to see. They did this by making Erik stand behind Paul and move in different directions without Paul having his glasses on. Erik moved in different directions until he was breathing on Paul’s neck. When he jumped out, Paul started screaming and crying. As a result of this, Paul was taken to the optometrist to get a new pair of glasses. Now Paul can “see” things that other people can’t. After Erik did this, he got praise from his parents. 5 Overall, Erik has always had it easy, unlike Paul, such as not being punished, scolded, or given consequences for his actions. He’s always the perfect sweet baby angel towards his parents and grandparents whereas if he’s around other people he acts like the devil. Paul has always been treated unfairly. He mostly gets ignored by his parents. There are several ways that this could relate to real-world situations. Such as the parents having a Golden Child and favoring them over their other children, there could also be competitions between the two siblings to see who's better or to explain this better,
