Fellow countrymen, we have fought long and hard to create a government of the people, for the people, and by the people. Our brave patriots faced both the heat of bullets and the bitter cold of Valley Forge, facing cold and privation for the betterment of the people. Civilians have suffered raids and massacres from marauding redcoats and their Indian allies. After the war, Federalist Adams and his criminals levied taxes and increasingly oppressive on the people - like the British, and will punish any who disagree with their tenets. To protect our liberties, fellow countrymen, support Thomas Jefferson for president. The Democratic-Republicans help the common man, with immigrants being among the most humble of them. We have sailed from Europe to America; we are all immigrants or the descendants of immigrants. Immigrants have helped us build our country, carving out farms in the forlorn wilderness. They have fought side-to-side with us in our war for independence and freedom. Many immigrants come to America for freedom, escape from oppressive blue-blooded despots. They cherish our values of freedom, yet now, they are being undermined. To assume oppressive power, the Federalists undermine hardworking immigrants of good character and make citizenship harder for them in order to oppress the voting body of the Democratic-Republicans. As the Republicans are undermined, Federalists will gain power and a cloud of oppression will hang over this country. No doubt that they would put to that use! The English used their military to back their oppressive taxes and laws. The Boston Massacre and the pillaging of civilian houses during the southern campaigns showed what a military is capable of doing to civilians. State militias are sufficient, yet Federalists still hound for a stronger military. A stronger military can just as easily execute the orders of tyranny as liberty. During the Whiskey Rebellion, for example, the Federalists convinced former president Washington to bring a massive force to put down a few farmers. If those farmers resisted instead of fleeing, who knows what would happen to them? A powerful standing army cannot be punished. It is the punisher. It cannot be controlled. It is the controller. This is a time of peace, not war. Jefferson is against this military
