Opinion columns and articles could easily be mistaken for one another. Although they do have many similarities, it is their differences that makes them what they are. Opinion columns, just as stated in its name, is more biased (contains opinions of the writer) but does also include a few information here and there. What makes an opinion column biased is the writer’s or author’s direct use of adjectives and (I, myself, in my opinion), this is shown in Cohen’s opinion column where even the heading, “In Afghanistan, a war that has lost its purpose” displays some level of judgement. The fact that Cohen thinks the war is useless or without purpose is in a way stating an opinion. Similarly in Christopher Hitchens’s opinion column, the heading
