What would you do if a giant reptile was after you? In these stories, two people are put to the test. Many people wouldn’t know what to do. They need to figure out what to do next. Many things are challenging the main characters. These two are trying their hardest to accomplish what they have been trying to get through. The settings have both similarities and differences. The settings are both very deadly and dangerous. In “The Sound of Thunder” it takes place in the prehistoric jungle, but in “Being Prey” it takes place in present day, marshy area. They both were untouched by humans. The predators were crocodiles in “Being Prey”. In “The Sound of Thunder” the predator was a T-Rex. They both have many differences and similarities, which make the stories somewhat the same. …show more content…

They were both trying to develop a new way to go through it. Eckels was killed because he didn’t listen. Plumwood got hurt severely, all because she didn’t listen to what she should have done. The conflicts, both occurred since they didn’t listen to the guides/groups. The conflicts were resolved by the end of the story. The Main character in “The Sound of Thunder” and “Being Prey” have many similarities and differences. The Main character in “The Sound of Thunder”, Eckels, strayed off the path after being told not to. The main character in “Being Prey”, Plumwood, drifted off the path as well. Eckels wanted to go back to the reality. Plumwood wanted to keep going after they said it wasn’t a worthy idea. The Main Characters have some similarities and
