In the short story “The Storyteller”, the plot was about an aunt who expected three children to act perfect, even though they didn’t want to be. A man who was also on this train noticed this and decided to tell these children a story. The story was about a girl who was so good she won medals for it and people adored her. One day, a prince asked her to come to his garden. When the little girl arrived, there was a hungry wolf eager to get his hands on anything he could. He found the little girl and devoured her alive. In this text, telling these children what they should or should not be doing restrict them from being who they really are. The aunt was wrong for expecting so much, and the man was good by basically telling these children that being good doesn’t always get them out of hard situations.
