Businesses are started, dealt with, and brought up differently. Some people have more struggles than others while some people may face similar experiences. For examples, Ms. Ivy is a Dollar Tree manager. While trying to run her business, she struggles with low employment rate and dealing with her angry customers. Mrs. Ying is the manager of a Nail Spa. She too has struggled with her customers while trying to understand what they want. After interviewing both business managers, it is safe to say that Ms. Ivy and Mrs. Ying are alike because they both experienced difficulty handling their customers, the employment rate is very low and this has brought them both to confront similar obstacles running their business. During Ms. Ivy’s two-year spam at her business as a Dollar Tree manager, she states that it has not been easy to deal with angry customers. During her interview, she mentions that it is “hard to try and talk things through with them without being disrespectful.” She can’t afford to let her human instincts get the best of her. Ms. Ivy comments that this job has taught her about human behavior and “how to manage and go around into calmly dealing with them and make both parties satisfied.” Along with Ms. Ivy, Mrs. Ying’s business as manager of a Nail Spa has taught her that running her business is not as simple as it seems. It is not just the ‘seat-down-and-tell-me-what-you-want’ deal. In fact, the hardest part of her job is the ‘tell-me-what-you-want-for-your-nails’ part.
