The Texas Constitution amended so often because it was not written very well. Texas is currently governed by its sixth constitution, which ratified in 1876. The Texas Constitution illustrates how the political system was a chaos, since in the 1876 Constitution, there was already five predecessors in only forty years. In comparison with the U.S Constitution, which was relatively simple when it came to talk about the national system, the Texas Constitution was completely complex and confusing.
