Everybody is different in their own way. People are going to do what they think is right even if it is not right. Some people are selfish, only caring about themselves. Some people are believers, who listen to others through hard times. In The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas Pere, the main character is D’Artagnan. He is the main focus of the novel and he is all about himself. In the Bible, there is a man named David. He is a follower of God and he is a strong believer of him. These two men are contrary from each other. They also have some comparable qualities. In this paper, I will discuss how these two men are distinctive and also resembling from one another. David was a true man of God. He followed what God had planned for him and did it the right way. He was a young, shepherd boy. He was a Warrior and king, a composer, a prophet, and of course a follower of God. He was not perfect but he tried his best to follow God and do what was right of Him. David fought Goliath and everyone was doubting him. Goliath’s height was six cubits and a span. David’s body was nothing like Goliath’s. Everyone underestimated him because of how he looked compared to Goliath. Even though David was the underdog God helped him defeat Goliath and everyone was shocked and cheered for David. David fought Goliath because God brought him to the fight. On the other hand, D’Artagnan just loved to fight. He would start stuff with people and plan a duel because he could not say no to a fight. If someone wanted to fight he would be ready, no questions asked. He did not have anyone forcing him to go fight people. He had too much pride he could not control. He also had a temper so that was some of the reason why he got mad easily and had no self
