In the summer during 1914, Europe was in war. This war with itself created a tragedy killing millions of soldiers and innocent civilians in Europe. Many thought that the war would be short but it ended up lasting 4 long years, creating damage and destruction to Europe. The war created livid attitude towards other countries and it created alliances to go against others dragging other countries into the dispute creating World War I. Militarism was when a country stayed combat ready,An alliance was when one country would sign a treaty of friendship or protection, Nationalism was when the civilians in a country would have to stay loyal for their country and put it before anything, while imperialism was when a country just wanted to be the most dominate and control everything. First it was Militarism. Militarism was when a country stayed combat ready, so if one country would find out another country’s army isn’t that strong, that country would attack and recruit a bigger army. If the country couldn’t hold themselves together due to their weak military, this is where alliances would fall in. An alliance was when one country would sign a treaty (agreement) saying basically if you fight we will fight too. If you went to war, the country you made an alliance with would go to war with you too.
