Marketing Plan to Increase Attendance at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts The value of live theatre is immeasurable as it offers self-growth and education to all of its audiences. The Theater at the J. Scheidegger Center for the Arts is a 1,200 seat Broadway Style Theater. It has one of the largest and most sophisticated stages in the region and offers excellent visibility to patrons from any vantage point. It has been described as elegant and intimate in its design with superior sound quality, and comfortable seating. The main stage is able to accommodate large scale, National & Broadway Tours, as well as concerts, and world renowned dance performances. It has also been used for a multitude of celebrity appearances and Lindenwood University productions. It is important for Lindenwood University to find ways to keep filling the seats in the theater at the J. Scheidegger Center and to keep featuring performers and shows that will continue to draw in their current patrons but also to bring in additional patrons and increase attendance. In order to do so, it would be beneficial for them to create a marketing team that develops a separate marketing plan for each show that the theater plans to produce or to offer and that also works to develop marketing strategies for the entire Center for the Arts. This will help to identify areas where they can improve and perhaps identify the strengths of the theater and create a way to broadcast those strengths through various marketing outlets. We should examine the overall location, the times and length of performances, access to parking and availability of good actors/performers as additional strengths and weaknesses that might affect your theater. Once this SWOT Analysis is completed then it is time to establish goals or marketing
