Noah’s Flood – Genesis 6-9: After a long period of time people started to forget about God. People didn’t want to talk about him or hear stories about Him. People in the world became evil. God had seen that the thoughts of the human heart were evil all the time. He regretted that he had created humans on the earth. God decided that the only answer would be to destroy the world that he created and the evil people and start over. God thought that instead of starting over with all that he had created in the beginning, He would begin again with the people that loved him and who trusted in him. The promises of God are certain and varied, and there is a promise for every need, every circumstance and every situation. When there are dark times and dark circumstances in your life look for the rainbow, His promise to us and it speaks to us of grace. Rainbows only appear after a rain and are made from “light” (“I am the light of the World” John 8:12) and rainbows are orderly and dependable, just like God. This story is true for so many people in the world today that faces certain battles every day. People have looked at me and told me I couldn’t do something or I would never achieve goals that I have set for myself. I have proved many people wrong; I have been a “David” many times in my life. When I was told I couldn’t do something I prayed about it and I took on the Giant and achieved it. Playing college baseball and attending a good college is one of my achievements that I prayed about and there were few people who had doubts I would be able to do it, but here I am “David” I fought back and won.
