Be The Change Racism is prejudice, discrimination, or antagonism directed against someone of a different race based on the belief that one's own race is superior. It has causes people to be monsters. Even hate crimes and murders to the other race because they dislike them. Thinking that just because a man or women is African American he is a criminal or does illegal things. Thinking that Caucasian people think they are superior to every other race in the world. Although this is the stereotype of races it can not be more wrong for a lot of people who are African Americans or Caucasians. Hilary Cremin writes “ Thematic Review Violence and Institutional Racism in Schools.” Stating that there are different forms of racism such as gender, class, and nation. This mostly comes back to ideas such as black and white differences and has been increased in use to refer to a particular institution. Inequality has been evident from these institutions. She talks about the overall thinking of why racism is happening and what is happening. “The impact of globalisation and changing nation states has forced renewed thinking about the conceptions of racism, the notions of ethnicity and culture and the axis of white versus black in relation to racism. This has led to new research paradigms of how racism is produced and re-produced in everyday life” (Cremin 931). As you see racism happens everywhere in the world. She uses the black versus white as a example of what institutions are most everyday offenders. It doesn't surprise me because when you hear of racism this is what immediately comes to most peoples minds are whites versus blacks. There are two similarities between this article and my first article. “but many people perceive it as getting worse” (Cremin 931). Racism is only getting worse. But how might you ask? Kids are growing up in a generation where they see this going on and thats what they are taught. Parents aren't teaching their kids that racism is wrong. It can severely hurt our world. Knowing it happens everywhere in the world its gonna be hard to get rid of. But I think its something we should put to the test as innocent lives have been taken just because someone doesn't like another
