Themed Hotel is a concept hotel with specific themed through all aspects in the hotel such as dining, décor and personnel. The themed hotel that we are choosing for our assignment is Atlantis, The Palm which is themed on the myth of Atlantis. It is a grand 5 star luxury hotel in Dubai and located on The Palm, a man-made island that has attracted the world’s imagination with its brilliant scale and creativity. Atlantis was opened in September 2008, it lengths a huge 46 hectares with 17 hectares waterpark beside the hotel alone. There are exciting marine and entertainment attractions which are featured to let the whole family could enjoy with a collection of world-renowned and award-wining restaurants.

The front office must provide a list of estimated arrivals and departures for the day earlier and inform the actual arrivals and departures as and when they take place. The front office is not allowed to assign or sell the rooms to the guest until the rooms have been inspected, cleaned and released by the housekeeping department.
In every night, the front office assistant will provide a list of occupancy report which also called the night report to the housekeeping department. The report is a list of occupied room of that particular night to let the housekeeping department to know that which guests or rooms are expected to check out the next day. The executive housekeeper checks the list in the morning and plans the occupied room for cleaning. After a customer check out, the front office will notify housekeeping and housekeeping will ensure that the room are given in top priority for servicing so that the cleaned rooms are available for sale. Front office and housekeeping will also inform each other if there is any changes of the room’s status to make sure efficient rooming for customers.
