Do you believe you can develop new themes if you do not like the ones you have? By ranking these themes the assessment is showing us what is most present in your leadership personality at this time. I do think this rank can change, but only as often as your personality changes. We cannot wake up one day and say, okay I am going to change my personality. The things we do and the values we have can only change with time, growth, or extenuating circumstances. When we learn a lesson or mature over time other traits/theme will develop too. Communication- As stated communication is my weakness. I am not sure this will ever be a top 5 theme for me, but I know enough to develop it. Communication is so important to a high functioning team. Our company culture is very family oriented, we are encouraged to build relationships and understand one another. Individualization- Finding the unique qualities of my team members is very important. In fraud you do not want a team of 5 people who all process information the same way and have the same ideas. You need to find forward thinkers who give new ideas about fighting fraud, who are willing to stand behind their ideas and develop the best processes with one another. Input- Craving more knowledge is important to my job. Fraud changes every day. Fraudsters find new and inventive ways to get around our preventions. We have to learn as quickly as they do and find ways to fight better and faster than the day before. Achiever – Fraud is 24 hours. They don’t sleep. I have to be willing to work hard for a long time to even come close to the fraudsters. People with poor work ethics do not make it in the fraud prevention world. If you don’t have the “want” to do well, the fraudsters will get the best of you and make you not want to try anymore. It will end up feeling like an endless
