Did you know it was a leap year in 1916? The cost of stamps was 2 cents. The tallest building in the World was the Eiffel tower. The red socks won the world cup. World War 1 was at its half way point. Life for most had lost its purpose. The world seemed to be falling apart. The art world did not take this lightly and decided to create a new form of art. Artist created Dadaism. Taking people out of reality for a little bit to awh at a new way of art. Everything did not make sense at that point of time so the artist made some nonsensical pieces. Dadaism was a new form of art that finally strayed from classical art. Classical art was basically the only art that was recognized in the time period. Born in Netherland, and stayed there most of his life. That was until he went off to War for his father. He ended up going to Tilburg. Where served for the Dutch military for 2 years. Van Doesburg had 4 wives. He had devoiced 3 of them and widowed her. He was not always an artist. He actually started off singing and acting before he found out that painting was such an amazing thing. At first he did more classical paintings. The painting could be compared to Vincent Van Gogh’s pieces. After deciding that normal classical art was not his thing he decides that art that came from the mind was the best form of art. It was way more creative also it had less rules and boundaries. He used many different resources to create his memersing pieces. One piece that stuck out a lot was the piece called The Dancers. This piece was Two figures that are designed in a way to,look like they are moving. They look flowie and very much at peace. Well if you have not this will make you want to know all about him. He is an fantastic dadaism artist. A middle class catholic with a family of 9 children. He learned how to paint at an early age from his father that just happened to deaf. He had no formal training in art besides his teachers allowing him to produce art in class. He very much enjoyed art all of his life. He was also influenced by Vincent van Gogh. He was on the later train of Dadaism. He started dada in 1919. That is okay because if you see his pieces you would thank him for being later on it than not all. His works were just incredietable. His wife would agree with this saying because she was his biggest supporter. His piece Ubu Imperator is just outstanding. It is collaboration of many exciting elements.
