Many times, as a society, crying is seen as a sign of weakness. In truth, those who cry, with some form of intent, are actually mentally strong and well adjusted people. It may sound odd in the beginning and yet it is logical and the evidence is present. People who cry realize crying is therapeutic Crying has therapeutic benefits no matter what kind of tears, happy or sad. Tears reduce stress from the brain, literally. They trigger a sequence of neurotransmitters that step up the brain chemistry. Crying also has physical benefits of removing toxins from the eye. Just 5 to 10 minutes of crying can kill about 90% of the bacteria in the eye. All three types of tears basal, irritant, and emotional tears all have benefits to overall health.
