Florida constantly experiences thunderstorms every summer; it has more thunderstorm activity than any other state. The state has these regular thunderstorms because it is warm and has sufficient sunlight, surrounded by water, and has frequent sea breezes. Florida is the ideal breeding ground for thunderstorms. Thunderstorms require several components in order to form; they exist in specific conditions. Firstly, the atmosphere must be unstable; the grounded warm air will likely rise to cooler air. This is provided by the warmth of the state and the abundance of sunlight.
