In the article Nicholas Carr published called “Is Google Making Us Stupid?” (Carr, 557) he explains how the Web and technology has impacted us. He also has written several books and articles about technology, business, and culture. (Carr, 556) I believe Nicholas has enough background information to be reliable for what is in his article.
Robert E. Lee was a huge impact to the Civil War being one of the best and most respected generals at that time. Robert E. Lee was born on January 19, 1807. He was born in Stratford Hall, Virginia. Much of his family had military affiliations and important roles in the United States. He knew that since his family was military talented, he was going to have to set high expectations for himself.

The Civil War was fought by some of the most tactical minds the United States at that time. One such man was the Confederate general Robert E. Lee. Mr. Lee is arguably one of the most cunning leaders to have ever fought with or against the United States. Robert E. He is by far one of the most accomplished , honorable , and maybe the ever in the United States Military. If we had a Mount Rushmore of the most military leaders with pedigree; Lee would be on it. There are few men who, even in defeat, have their names remembered and revered for centuries. Robert Edward Lee was one such man. Hundreds of years after his life and death have passed, Americans still widely regard him as one of America’s greatest generals. He is well-deserved of this title. He claims that people should remain vigilant when openly accepting any computer network or technology. Carr’s viewpoint from start to finish is that the Internet is shifting the way that the present age group thinks, by changing the way we develop information.
The Internet we use today first started being developed in the late 1960's. In fact, the internet has gone from plain text and scattered underlined links to designed web pages filled with colors, videos, bolder typologies, and functionalities that users can easily access. Since 2008, the internet has even developed towards mobile devices. Contrary to Nicholas Carr’s argument in, “Is Google Making Us Stupid”, that the internet is changing us in a negative way, it is actually changing for the better and to our advantage. Today, Google has made research and learning more efficient and readily available.
