Much of his family had military affiliations and important roles in the United States. He knew that since his family was military talented, he was going to have to set high expectations for himself.

In 1861 President Lincoln set up the U.S. Military Telegraph Corps and in just one year the U.S. military sent over a million messages to and from the battlefield. Because President Lincoln could now talk to any of his officers at any point the Union was able to coordinate its troops more effectively than the C.S.A. who did not have the large scale communication capabilities of the telegraph.
Tim Berners Lee invented the WWW also known as the World Wide Web. This is his most used invention he has created. The web was invented in 1989. The World Wide Web was invented for military uses at first, now it is simply used for entertainment and to use information. People have now created apps on the web and is currently still growing.

It lets us learn and find out things that we didn't know
It has incredible sources of information. Imagine you are supposed to make a PowerPoint presentation for one of your classes, but there is way too much traffic outside. If I was in this position, I wouldn’t go out to find statistics, data, and additional information. I have a computer, even a smartphone! I could explore through the internet.
