Mario Lemieux was drafted first overall in the 1984 NHL draft by the Pittsburgh Penguins. During his first season in the NHL Lemieux scored 100 points, making the All Star team and winning MVP. He missed fifty four games during the 1990 and 91 season. Despite missing all the time Lemieux made it back to the team just in time for the playoffs, where he led the team to a Stanley Cup and another MVP. All the boys on the team were First Nations just like Saul, just a lot larger in size. Herb Brooks was an American Ice Hockey player and coach. Although he was a great player, people will always remember him for his coaching style. Herb Brooks was an incredible leader; he saw in his teams what many could not see. In the 1980 Winter Olympics, Herb Brooks put together a team of college kids to take on the best hockey team in the world, The Soviet Union. This dramatic win was dubbed the “Miracle on Ice” and is still remembered as one of the greatest moments in sports history.
