“This we’ll defend”: This is the motto of the United States Army, as well as the 3rd Infantry Regiment, also known as the “Old Guard.” These are the sentinels who guard the tombs of three unknown soldiers: One never identified from the First World War; another that never found his family from World War Two; and another shot down and never recognized in Korea. Laying a wreath on the tomb of these three unknown soldiers is considered synonymous as laying a wreath on every unknown and unidentified soldier and one of the highest honors for a United States citizen.

Hello, I am Ryan Judge, and I have developed (with a group) a 6-week program to train a client for a 5k. A 5k is 3.1 miles, so it is an endurance run, something that is not meant to be done fast. In this essay, I am going to tell you about the fashion of our training program, and why me made it the way it is. The client that we made our 6-week training program for is a 13 year-old girl with no medical history.
Throughout my life I have collected many sentimental objects and symbols that represent achievements, memories, friendships, and my childhood. I constantly look back at those items, as they lay in my room, in order to relive the happiness it reminds me of. I plan to carry these articles with me as long as I live, because they each portray different stories that I want to remember forever. Just like how Holden holds close to Allie’s baseball mitt, I hold close to many items as well. Among the many artifacts that I possess and are on display in my room, some of my favorites include: a starfish, photos to document past memories, a scrapbook, and a tennis medal.
Hey, cousin when are you coming to Presidio? It will be a lot of fun. My first reason is because everyone will know you. You would have a lot of friends. You will never get kidnapped.
The items found inside are links to members that have long passed, that are still living, and to those that have not been born yet. The chest itself may reach a point where it cannot hold anything anymore, however, the memories found inside will last
The True Weight of War “The Things They Carried,” by Tim O’Brien, brings to light the psychological impact of what soldiers go through during times of war. We learn that the effects of traumatic events weigh heavier on the minds of men than all of the provisions and equipment they shouldered. Wartime truly tests the human body and and mind, to the point where some men return home completely destroyed. Some soldiers have been driven to the point of mentally altering reality in order to survive day to day. An indefinite number of men became numb to the deaths of their comrades, and yet secretly desired to die and bring a conclusion to their misery.
Throughout history, there were desires to know, exist, create and to have power, each of these desires impacted history. However, the most influential desire was the one to create. History gave us a desire to create new languages, art, religion and new colonies that were found in the exploration. European history has created a way to expand the new ideas and make them ideal throughout the Middle Ages and throughout the Age of Exploration. The desire to create has expanded the knowledge to create and use the new ideas that were discovered to enhance the human life for survival.

With archaeology we can learn about the present and future by discovering about the past. We can learn about the present and future through past because knowing our past would make us understand why we are here today. Your past and history or where you come from is the reason why you are in the position you are in now. Archaeology helped us know about the tools in the past that we still use in the modern day, but we modified them to make them better. Just like the gun and bow n’ arrow, first there was a bow and arrow, then a crossbow and in the modern day a gun.
I was excited that I couldn’t sleep. I paced around my room once, then twice, then a third time. I was thinking about what I was about to do tomorrow that would change history. My name and picture would be on magazines and online. I was going to the past.
