Why should we change something that doesn 't need to be changed? I don’t understand the point of changing something that works perfectly fine! That’s the way I feel about the school district changing the calendar. It has a sufficient balance of school and breaks. If we were to change the calendar, it would decrease our break period. Why should we change our calendar? Right now it gives an acceptable amount of time for people to relax during break. “Relaxing during summer break is important because it allows students to recharge for the fall quarter... Why come back from it early? It puts stress on the students. Making them stop their relaxation and forcing them to go back into the stress of school. But changing the calendar and having school start in august would throw students back into the stress earlier than in September.
