Atticus is strongly affected by racism and due to the impacts of racism his reputation went down the drain and he also lost his case due to racist judgements but yet Atticus fought for Toms freedom and did not give up and ignored the names he was called. Atticus is affected by racism because he is fighting for a black man, therefore it is hard for him to win the case due to racist judgements such as, “To begin with this case should never have come to trial. This case is simple as black and white.” (Lee271) This quote is said by the jury and is a racial judgment since they are saying that the whites are always above the blacks and blacks will always commit the crimes which puts Atticus in a rough situation because the jury will believe Tom Robinson
In the book To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee talks about discrimination based on gender role, age, and skin color. The characters in this book all have different personalities that influences others. Maycomb, Alabama in 1930’s is where everything happened with slavery and struggling with being poor. The characters Scout, Jem, and Dill had a strong bond and had lots of courage. Shows that justice means other things to other people.
The central idea of To Kill A Mockingbird is Bravery. A quote used in the story that Harper Lee uses to show this central idea is “You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view” (30/34). This quote shows how some people can be brave. Many of the characters in the story were brave but the three i'm going to focus on are Atticus, Jem, and Arthur also known as “Boo”. Atticus, the father of Jem and Scout was very brave throughout the story.

To Kill a Mockingbird The Boot: In the novel, “To Kill a Mockingbird” by Harper Lee, the main character Scout’s lesson learned was the understanding of one through a perspective. The reason behind why I chose the boot is because, “You never really know a man until you stand in his shoes and walk around in them,” (Harper Lee 374). In the novel To Kill a Mockingbird the author Harper Lee uses protagonist to express the idea that having the courage to fight can make people hate you. The thesis means that Atticus is fighting for other that is something that others will not do at all. This also means that Atticus was fighting for someone who is a colored and people did not like what he was doing. Next is that Atticus was standing up for Tom Robinson from getting accused of what he didn’t do. Atticus wants to set a good example for his children and the prejudice town that he lives in. He also lives his life by the golden rule which is why it makes sense for him to defend Robinson.

He says things like “We know all men are not created equal in the sense some people would have us believe.” he is saying a pretty important thing. He means that in the world, there is what racists and those who are prejudice known as “equal but separate”, which is not equal, it is actually more racist.
Literature is an important part of our lives, and it’s very present within To Kill A Mockingbird. Throughout the novel, Scout and Jem Finch suffer through discrimination within the town of Maycomb. Atticus Finch, the father of Scout and Jem, is made to represent a black man in a trial in which he is convicted of raping a young white woman. Atticus consults in reading different books and newspapers to calm himself within the time of stress, as does Scout and Jem. Arthur, or Boo, Radley is a mysterious neighbor who, Scout, Jem, and their friend Dill, start to make a game about these rumors.

Japan and the United States have different school systems where they all have different grade subsections. For example, Japanese children would have six years of elementary school, while American students would have five years. Not only that, they each contain different school lifes.
