To Kill A Mockingbird

This report is on To Kill A Mockingbird.
The author of To Kill Mockingbird is Harper Lee, and the book was first published in 1960. To Kill A Mockingbird takes place in Maycomb County, Alabama during the 1930’s, a time of racial discrimination and poverty due to the Great Depression. The story focuses on six-year-old Jean Louise “Scout”, and her brother Jeremy “Jem”. And their widowed father Atticus.

The characters in the book are Scout, Jem, and Atticus Finch, as well as Boo Radley and Tom Robinson. Other supporting characters are Bob Ewell, Mayella Ewell, Judge John Taylor and Dill Harris.
The, story is told from Scout’s perspective.
Jem is Scouts older brother in. His is left arm is shorter than his right arm because Bob Ewell breaks his arm. Atticus Finch is a middle-aged man and is a lawyer for Maycomb County.
Arthur (Boo Radley) is a white man who is feared by the children in because he is a recluse. Boo’s dad promised to keep him in his house after Boo got in trouble as a teen. Maycomb Boo is been very lonely, so he tries reaching out to Scout and Jem to have some …show more content…

But as the book’s plot progressed it got more interesting at one point I thought the book was pretty good. I might recommend this book to a classmate but overall I didn’t really like the book. I would not say it was terrible though. Why you might ask I said it is boring and not very good in my opinion it’s because I don’t like the book’s plot and didn’t find it very interesting. The second reason is the beginning of the book isn’t very exciting or I didn’t feel like the author wrote something that would get me into the book at the beginning. Therefore since she didn’t write something interesting to get me interested the book didn’t seem very interesting to me. That about sums up my book report for To Kill A Mockingbird and I have nothing else to say on this
