-Summary for Ch. 11-15 (AT LEAST FOUR SENTENCES): In chapter 11 Jem got mad and he trashed Ms. Dubose’s house. His punishment for doing this was to read to Ms. Dubose every day. Scout is disappointed when she finds out that Dill is not coming back and that he says he has a new father.
Mrs. Dubose lived alone. Jem and Scout were scared of her and hated her. Atticus would get furious about what Mrs. Dubose said to him. Jem turned twelve during this chapter. Jem bought a steam engine and Scout got a baton.
Chapters 1-3 1. Atticus Finch – Atticus Finch is the father of Jem and Scout. He is a lawyer and widower. Jean Louise (Scout) Finch – Scout is the narrator of the story.
In chapter 6, Jem, Dill, and Scout go over to the Radley house on Dill’s last night to try and see Boo Radley through a window. Instead, they see a shadowy figure in the yard and a gunshot goes off, scaring them and forcing them to run away from the property. While they are running away, Jem loses his pants and leaves them behind. Once they get back home, they join the group outside huddled near the Radley house. Jem is questioned about where his pants are and responds with how he lost them in a game of strip poker.
-Summary for Ch. 11-15 (AT LEAST FOUR SENTENCES): Atticus has to be away a lot more than usual for the case, so Scout’s Aunt Alexandra came to stay with them. Their Aunt is really proper and wants them to act proper too, but they rebel.
TKAMB chapters 15-17 S.I.R by Tri Nguyen 1. In chapter 15, Heck Tate’s mob wanted to talk to Atticus that Tom Robinson have been moved to Maycomb Jail, and that there might be trouble concerning Atticus and Tom Robinson. It stated on page 165, “Mr. Tate was saying, “I don’t look for any trouble, but I can’t guarantee there won’t be any . . .” This show that as the trial are coming nearer, the people are getting more impatient, and this would cause them to act violence not only to the Negroes, but also to their fellow kind. This also show that prejudice can change a person point of view, and make them think only about their superiority over Negroes even though some of them are no better than the Negroes themselves, like the Ewell and the Cunningham.
In chapter 5, Walter and his friends tried to hang Richard and the pastor couldn’t believe what he was seeing. The pastor was shocked, and knew more about a lynch than they did. Walter, when he was younger he first realized he had a speech problem when he read out loud to the class. He was laughed at because he didn’t read as well as the others. This would make him very, very angry, and he would snap.
Chapter 15, pp 199-206: After Dill is permitted to stay the summer with the Finches, all the kids venture out, and follow Atticus to the Maycomb jail. They see a group of men talking to Atticus and wanting to get by him to get to Tom Robinson. Scout could not watch anymore, ran out to Atticus and may have saved him from potential harm from the group of men. The kids later found out that Atticus was protected from all corners. 12.
Chapter 9 of To Kill a Mockingbird was full of conflict between Francis and Scout then Scout and Uncle Jack at Aunt Alexandra's house. In the first place, I feel as the whole conflict is Francis as well as Scouts fault. Scout of course a fierce character and has a big mouth, as we learn from the Walter Cunningham conflict. To add, Scout thinks Franics is pretty boring so maybe it could just be Scouts temper that started the whole conflict since he wasn't entertaining to her.
Just as he gets there he hears gunshots and sees lots of smoke in the air. He hears the screams of the village people. He learns that his family is dead. Not only did he lose them once when he did not know what had happened to them but he lost them again when he had to watch and listen to them die. Yet once again he preserves and pushes on despite the amount of pain he was in.
Day 7: character Jem has gotten older and with age comes wisdom. At the age he is at though comes rebellion and defiance like tonight he decided to sneak out. Scout is becoming more of a lady while still wanting to play with her brother and do what he does. Atticus is becoming more and more old he has more wrinkles,Atticus is more stressed. Aunt Alexandria the most prim and proper of all the finch’s is just like everyone else in the town big on gossip and tea in the afternoon.
In chapter 11 through 15, afew things happen. Such as, Miss Dubose passes away after having Jem read to her for a month. In chapter 12, Calpurnia ends up taking Jem and Scout to the church attends, where we find out that she has children of her own, has a long history with the Finch’s, and is older then Atticus. During chapter 13, Aunt Alexandra ends up showing up at the Finch’s home, stating that she will stay so Scout can learn to be more ladylike. In the beginning of chapter 14, Dil returns to Maycomb after his new father chained him up to a radiator.
In the passage Jem and Scout walk home during the dark hours,giving Bob Ewell an opportunity to stage an attack. As Bob Ewell attacks them Boo Radley rushes in to rescue Jem and Scout. After this Scout now understands what Atticus meant it is a sin to kill a mockingbird. The killing of a mockingbird is much like killing the innocent. It is beyond a crime and worse than the most heinous atrocities.
In “To Kill a Mockngbird”, Atticus Finch plays Scout Finch’s father, who is an admirable lad. He sees things for the good not the bad. Many reasons tell whyhe is such a good man, but here are a few. He say’s in this book,”You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of veiw...until you climb in his skin and walk around in it.”
All the former SS officers that have had lives as upstanding citizens should be held responsible of all their actions and crimes that have been done in the past. People don 't wanna find out that the person they have been living right next to has killed and tortured entire villages. Or just the fact that they lied to come into this country and get rights that they don 't deserve in any country. Especially in such a horrific event as the Holocaust. These SS officers should be responsible for everything and everyone that they harmed.
