To Kill a Mockingbird was an amazing book. Hands down was one of the best books I've ever read. The theme of the story can be a bit hazy at times though. You have to intently, examine the book in order to figure that out. However I have found it. The theme of the story, To Kill a Mockingbird, is to always be courageous, no matter what. Examples of courage show up all throughout the novel. From Atticus, to Jem, to Dill, and to Mrs. Dubose they all show courage. One example of a very courageous man is Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. He fought for equality among African-Americans in the U.S. He was the symbol of the fight against racial discrimination.
