The Constitution The U.S constitution is not relevant to our modern society and needs to be revised. The document is to outdated and doesn't fit our modern standards today. The document has become outdated. Our society has changed so much as a whole in many different ways. Yes some things are still relevant but is it accurate? The constitution is not up to date which this is why I think our constitution needs to be revised and changed to fit modern needs. The constitution was written in 1787, think about this how many years have passed and so many different changes in life along the way? The document was written mostly about the whites taking the blacks in as slaves. The African American race was treated so poorly back then especially in the time period the constitution was written. In modern day now whites and black marry each other. If this were to happen back then people probably would have been killed because they thought of it as a sin. The constitution talks about having “equal rights” among everyone, but really they didn't have equal rights. The whites had more power than the blacks. …show more content…

For example woman didn't have rights back then and things they did were very limited. Now woman have many rights. This is why it is outdated and needs to be revised. I do not agree with the constitution because everything changes. I feel as if there shouldn't be one document that should establish things for a whole lifetime. It does not make sense and should not. People change, laws are made and changed, rights are formed. These are all reasons why this document needs to be revised. Yes some still are relevant but majority
