Totalitarian dangers
North Korea is ran as a totalitarian government where none of the citizens have any freedoms. “the Democratic Republic of Korea has a deplorable human rights record. North Korean citizens are deprived of nearly all fundamental rights: freedom of speech, freedom of the press, freedom of religion, freedom of assembly, and even freedom of residence”(Catherwood). Kim Jong Un is the only person in all of North Korea that has freedom. Restricting the residents from speaking their mind, not allowing them to live where they want, and prohibiting preferible religion will make the people live in constant misery. As well as having zero freedoms the party limits media so no ideas outside of a totalitarian belief can be heard and provoke thoughts of rebellion. “Radios, for instance, are manufactured so that they can only be tuned into state-run stations; it is a violation of the law to tinker with the radio to receive other broadcasts”(Catherwood).Restricting entertainment freedoms are also very important to running an evil totalitarian

North Koreans live different lives although all they have no freedoms. “These three groups are further subdivided into 51 classifications based on their loyalty to the Korean Workers Party (KWP). These classifications determine the access an individual has to employment, residence, food, and medical care as well as privileges including the right to patronize certain businesses and stores.” Despite having no freedoms or individuality, the citizens are put in different rankings and classifications. The more loyal you are, the higher you would be ranked. A classification system like this is dangerous because the people have no control over their lives. Even if a citizen is completely loyal to the party they can be put in a lower level ranking and suffer greatly because of lack of food, medical care, residence, and
