What a great novel with such a tragic ending. Who would kill two regular people? Were they so innocent, though? The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald depicts the life of New Yorker Jay Gatz or James Gatsby. In this novel, many ethical and tragic events occur. The Death of Gatsby and George Wilson's wife, Myrtle. There are many other events to focus on in such a great novel, but the main focus is turned toward the two tragic deaths and the theories behind them. Who is it for? Why these peculiar characters? There are some ties that particular characters might have toward the deaths. Nick Carraway is Gatsby's neighbor. Nick narrates this novel from his point of view. This woman is Myrtle Wilson. Jordan Baker is Daisy's friend and a pro golfer. All this arises in New York City, West Egg and Long Island. All these characters are part of the novel, but how do they connect? Gatsby does not live in his house now because that's the house he wants. Gatsby moved to the West Egg in the house he lives in now to be closer to Daisy. Daisy and Gatsby had a relationship in the past before Gatsby went to war. During Gatsby's time in the war, Daisy married Tom. When Daisy is mysteriously invited to Nick for tea, Gatsby just happens to come around. This reunites Gatsby and Daisy after being distant for years. Daisy knows she loves Gatsby, but she also loves Tom. In the end, after a long argument between Gatsby and Tom, she chooses to be with Tom. “It would be wrong to say I never loved Tom”-Daisy. Why Daisy and Tom? How could they be the cause of both murders? Daisy was very furious one night after a disagreement with Gatsby and Tom in the city. Gatsby let her drive home. On the way into town earlier that day, Gatsby and Tom switched cars with one another. When Gatsby and Daisy passed by Wilson's shop, Myrtle ran into the road thinking it was
