The presence of queer perspectives have been alive in the world at large for a long time, yet only now in modern days have queer voices really been able to speak out and be heard. The sacred world has the capacity to be redefined and transformed in many different ways through queer narratives and experiences. These perspectives question the traditional conceptions of gender and sexuality and offer a fresh new viewpoint on the divine and the spiritual unlike any other. In this essay, themes such as transgender theology, queer art and literature, queer liberation theology, and the concept of chosen families will be explored in regard to how they have redefined the world with their added perspectives. By upholding these ideas, transgender theology presents a more forgiving and all-encompassing view of spirituality. This can aid in the healing of persons who have experienced oppression due to their gender identity. By giving people the freedom to explore and express their gender identity without feeling ashamed or guilty, it also provides a means for people to connect with the divine in a more genuine and meaningful way. Overall, transgender theology plays a significant role in remaking the sacred world because it provides a more compassionate and inclusive view of spirituality that supports the worth and dignity of every person, regardless of gender identity or expression. Queer liberation theology focuses on social justice and political activity in order to make the world more just and equitable for everyone, regardless of their sexual orientation, gender identity, or any other characteristic that may lead to marginalization. The focus placed on diversity and inclusivity by gay liberation theology is one of its main features. A quote that can tie into the idea of queer liberation theology can be found in Lepage_2017 pages 603-604 quoting "People who call themselves Wiccans (or witches, sometimes interchangeably) often do so in order to claim the practice of witchcraft as a spiritual or religious alternative to their Christian, mostly Catholic, upbringings, or to recognize the sacred feminine and masculine aspects of the immanent divinity that is Nature, our planet, or our entire universe." This quote highlights how Wiccans and witches utilized witchcraft as a spiritual or religious expression that is often different from their Christian upbringing.
