Should children be allowed to transition to any gender they identify with?

The LGBTQ community, more specifically the transgender community, has become increasingly visible by our younger generations of adults, teens and children. Studies had shown that by state, the percentage of transgender adults are between 0.3 to 0.8 percent and are very similar to the percentage of transgender teenages which are between 0.5 and 1.5 percent. Unfortunately, there has not been enough research done on child gender identity due to the multitude of challenges: one of which, the parents much fill in the test of their interpretation of their children. This concludes that these feelings of wrong gender are not real, and unhealthy. However, how the world perceives things will change with time, as it did for homosexuality, when it was taken off the ICD in the 1950s and 1960s; the same kind treatment will be done the same for transgender in the future ICD-(11) around 2018, confirmed by WHO. So allow me address one of the question again: are children questioning their gender identity. The answer to that question is yes, Bren Fraser, a therapist who works with transgender clients, has had clients as young as 7. Confirming that, “there are gender-questioning students at all of our public high schools, junior highs, and even some elementary schools.” So children as young as 7 have the knowledge, but should they be allowed to make the transition to any gender they identify with?
