Adoption is a decision that affects millions of children and parents lives every single day. Although some people look down upon the fact of giving away a baby, in the long run it ends up being the best decision one can ever make. Estimates show that nearly 150 million children worldwide are orphans, many of them living in institutes or shelters, or out on the streets (Fitzpatrick,1).There are so many children without homes and adoption can lead them to having a much better and well deserved life. Not only can the child have a better life, so can the birth parents. The birth parents can accomplish what they want in their lives without the unexpected child at a young age. Also, parents that cannot have kids can finally have the opportunity. Adoption is so beneficial to our world today because it gives the birth parents the ability to get an education and finish school, it allows parents who cannot have babies a chance to have a child, it gives children a better life if they have come from abused households, and because of international and transracial adoption. Transracial and international adoption is very beneficial because children all over the country can have a home. Children from abusive households can receive a loving home which can lead them to finally having a normal life. It also gives them a better life than what birth parents can give them. Adoption is a much better option than terminating the baby. Finally, adoption gives parents who cannot have a baby due to infertility or same-sex marriage an opportunity to do so. Adoption has such a positive effect on millions of people, so how can it possibly be looked down upon? Adoption should clearly be encouraged more and without it, who knows where we would be
