Caldwell Shooting After Attempted Gun Sale A man, Juan Maugro Lopez was arrested and charged with aggravated battery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection to the attack, after a shooting at a home in the 2000 block of Lincoln Ave. in Caldwell on November 8th. The victim told officials that the shooting occurred after he tried to buy a 12-gauge shotgun from a woman he knew. The victim also admitted that he was prohibited from owning a firearm, but wanted to purchase one anyways.
In Drums and Bullets by Jim Murphy, the author explains that young boys often join the civil war. Power explains that young boys showed bravery in many ways. One way they showed bravery was that Drummer boys were brave for example “this boy puts you in shame get up move forward ”said the commander. The civil war was hard because there was a lot of dead and wounded people,the drummer boys were brave, they would be trained to not flinch when they shoot.
It seems like everyday on the news there are shootings happening in he Us. Some are related to small crimes but others are mas shootings where many people are killed. In our country people get in fights and arguments. When you fight with someone and are really mad you need time think about the situation and to calm down.

Thompson’s purpose is to call lawmakers and researchers alike to take a stand against mass shootings and to stop the perpetrators. He utilizes stylistic devices as well as argumentative devices to enlighten the reader of the relationship between all of the recent shootings and their contagion. Beginning his article, Thompson lists the recent mass murders in the United States while also using figurative language, convincing the reader to agree with his argument that mass shootings are contagious.
In an era of drunkenness being chastised by religion, a new Amendment was born. This new amendment was known as the Eighteenth Amendment. The Eighteenth Amendment gave the government the right to limit personal liberties. This amendment took away the right for citizens of the United States to manufacture a beverage containing more than 0.5 percent alcohol. This amendment also prevented this type of beverage from being sold or transported.

These role playing games are very beneficial for students to participate in, because they teach kids that team work, and extraordinary skills are needed to “survive”. Role playing games with simulated violence are diverting for kids, because they teach and allow kids to be boisterous. The game allows the students to plan, organize, and concoct a plan, for a game that involves nearly the whole city and school. As seniors in highschool prepare for graduation and adulthood, this game gives them the freedom to be kids again.

The number of shootings involving law enforcement officers and unarmed African American men has increased in the United States in recent months to the point where there is social unrest in one particular community: the African-American community. Groups such as Black Lives Matter have been created in the recent past to create tranquility between the police and the people of the Unites States. If media accounts of these incidents are accurate and these recent trends are taken together, the country is on the tipping point of a deadly unprecedented racial divide. Losing someone to gun violence that is close to is you is the biggest heart break ever. I just recently experienced the worst heart break ever when I lost Maurice (recee). Maurice was more than just a friend to me he was my best friend, my protect ,my backbone and my everything. When he died it's like my whole life has changed I feel like I've change as a person I feel so lost without him. Life is so hard going without him
Tomorrow is not a promise. It is good to live your life to the fullest. This year, everything has been occurring. Everyday there is a shooting taking place which is becoming scarier every day to live. I live in North Miami there are things occurring here and there.
