On February 26, 2012, 17-year-old high school student, Trayvon Martin was fatally shot by George Zimmerman during the night. To this day, there are some things that are unclear. The topic of privacy from the government has always been a controversial in the United States. Some argue that with a society full of cameras and surveillances, it allows for a safer community and reduces crime. However, there are also those who disagree and would rather have their lives be more private and less exposed to cameras. Key topics that relate to this include PRISM, the surveillance program ran by national security agency; the death of Trayvon Martin; and the Google glasses, which are good examples of why it is necessary for the government to have a watchful eye over our society. Back in 2013, Trayvon Martin, a black, teenage boy was fatally shot by George Zimmerman, a neighborhood watch volunteer who racially profiled Trayvon, resulting to his death. However, with Martin being dead, the case had to be determined off of Zimmerman and what his reasoning was. With unreliable witnesses called to the stand, there was no clear evidence to if George Zimmerman was guilty or not. However, if there was some type of camera there, the case would be easily solved and justice would be served. If either one of them were to be wearing anything like a Google glass or something along those lines, it would definitely benefit the government. Google glasses have the ability to be used like a phone, but in a smaller, compact space on the lens of your glasses. With this being said, it is capable of taking pictures and videos, which would have definitely unravel the truth behind the killing of Trayvon
