Primary Goal - Survival Have you ever really thought about what your primary goal is in life? Or the reason why you’re still alive? People might say that our primary goal changes in different situations and eras. During the Holocaust, where millions of Jews in the concentration camps are resisting death ceaselessly, their primary goal might be to survive. Whereas in the modern world of the twenty-first century, our primary goal differs and might be as simple as going to school or arriving at a designated location on time.
Also In the interview there is a portion that Mr. Epstein clearly state that the sages say that “the more you give, the more you will be blessed with being able to give more afterwards”. God wants us to share the blessing that he has given us to others. Helping others will never hurt anyone. It could be a blessing only. In Edgar Allen Poe’s short story,” The Cask of the Amontillado” he utilizes the literary element of irony to evolve the predominant theme of vengeance. The main character, Montresor ,has a diabolical plan to kill his so called friend, Fortunato. While they are walking down the damp catacombs, Montresor recommends “[that] they [should] go back… [because Fortunato’s] health is precious,”( Poe,3). The author uses irony to display to the reader that the goal of vengeance can be obtained in different ways. This illuminates the idea of punishing those who wronged you.

Life has its twists and turns, but my overall life goal is simple, help others. I want to make an impact on others life, even if it is a small change. I always hated helping other people because I never thought it would help me go farther than where I was.
