In this report, I will be providing information on the famous rap artist Tupac Shakur along with key historical events that occurred during his short life span. The report will focus on events which occurred when Tupac was born in 1971 and events during the same year which made him most famous in 1996. In January 1971, NASA’s Apollo 14 made a successful launch and landing on the moon. In February 1971 Apollo14 made a safe return back to Earth. In 1996, Tupac release one of his bestselling albums “All Eyez on Me” and unfortunately lost his life on September 13, 1996. The OJ Simpson trial began in 1996 drawing worldwide attention. He was released just 8 months later when Death Row Records CEO paid his $1 Million bond which was part of his parole. Tupac accomplished a lot in 1996 releasing a hit album and pursing an acting career. He appeared in a crime drama Bullet while co-starring with Mickey Rouke. He also appeared in Gridlock'd and Gang Related which released the following year after his death. This was the third successful lunar landing mission. Apollo 14 launched from Kennedy Space Center, FL on January 31, 1971 at 4:03pm. The crew consisted of Allan Shepard, the first American in space and as well as the oldest astronaut in space during the time of Apollo 14, Stuart A. Roosa, Edgar D. Mitchell. This was the last of “H” missions or missions consisting of moon walking and lunar vehicular events with a very precise landing point. The crew spent 33 and a half hours on the moon. And many scientific experiments were made like Shepard brining golf balls up and a makeshift club he made back home they also conducted the “Moon Trees” experiment. In which Shepard and Mitchell brought up several hundred seeds for trees and went to the future Apollo 16 landing spot while Roosa stayed in orbit. Orbiting the Kitty Hawk space module and taking pictures of the moon. The two attempted to grow trees on the moon and many of the trees germinated on the way home which deemed this experiment successful. Apollo 14 finally returned home on February 9, 1971 safely landing in the Pacific Ocean in Honolulu, Hawaii. This was the final moon mission in which astronauts were quarantined after returning home.
