The Rosetta Stone a stone with two different languages written on it and three different types of scripts. The languages written on the stone is Egyptian and Greek. The scripts used on the stone is a hieroglyphic, demotic, and Greek. At the time of the stone was created, the region used the three different types of scripts. Each script served a specific purpose for its use. The hieroglyphic script was used for religious or other important documents of that time. The demotic script was the commonly used script in Egypt. The Greek script was used for the Greek rulers during that time. All three scripts combined on the Rosetta Stone allowed priests, government officials, and rulers to read what was carved on the stone.
