In Two Roads by Joseph Bruchac Cal is a young boy who found out that he was half Creek Indian. Cal's father, Pop, sent him to an Indian school. Cal didn't have any friends at first, but at the end of the day he made a friend named Possum. Cal's friend gave him a nickname; his nickname was Jay Bird. Cal had to go through a lot, but he is still alive. One reason is because it is too dangerous for Cal to challagi because in chapter thirty on page 307 it says “No,I will kill the first man to put his foot across the line.” Here it tells us that Cal is scared. Another reason is on page 307 it says “Those words send a shiver down my back.” Cal felt nervous here.That is one reason that Cal should live a challenge because it is too dangerous. Another
