Introduction and General Information
Diabetes is a group of metabolic diseases in which the person has high level of glucose in blood [Medical News 1]. It is important to understand the natural metabolism of the human body relating to the homeostasis of blood glucose level. Glucose is an essential ingredient of respiration; therefore, it is important for one’s blood to contain a sufficient level in order to supply the body cells and create energy. In order for glucose to be transferred from the blood into the body cells, it requires the help of a hormone named ‘insulin’ created by a gland, pancreas. Insulin stimulates the removal of glucose from the blood and its uptake into the body muscles [Medical News 2].

During exercise, our muscles work harder and therefore require more energy. Glucose is the main ingredient for respiration, it is important that the muscles receive sufficient glucose to create energy for further movement. The body reacts sensitively to insulin as a response to the need of energy in muscles. Without regular practices of this process, the muscles gradually lose its sensitivity to insulin and do not work efficiently.
Unfortunately, partial cause of type 2 diabetes comes from family history. The genetic code of insulin receptor cells are contained in the genes which are passed from parents to child. Parents with insensitive insulin receptor cells are more likely to have a child with potentially similar conditions of receptor cells. Although the risk of these people to diabetes is higher than normal people, with strict lifestyle and healthy routine, diabetes can be easily …show more content…

The danger of this is that type 2 diabetes patients will not realize their disorder until it gets very serious. As diabetes is a metabolic disorder which affects ones glucose level in blood directly, the entire body system will also be affected. This is called the complications, the state in which a disorder influences other parts of the body to reach its failure. The noticeable symptoms of diabetes are related to water level in blood, nutrition, alertness, visions, sensations, infection vulnerability and slow body recovery [Signs and Symptoms of
