Public and private sectors should promote health by pursuing policies and practices. A way to promote social responsibility for heath is by providing food courts in workplaces that offer healthy food. People should eat healthy food, which lowers their risk of developing diabetes and can reduce the incidence and mortality of type 2 diabetes. If diabetics have unhealthy choices to choose from, they are may eat this food. Having healthy food in workplaces can help people manage their blood sugar levels and help prevent type 2 diabetes. Social Justice The workplace would offer food low in fat, sugar and salt. For example, serving food like sandwiches, which would be made out of whole meal bread for fibre, chicken for protein and other healthy ingredients. Having high fibred food would fill people up for longer, which would stop them from snacking as much. If people did want smaller portions, healthy snacks such as fruits, nuts and vegetables would be available, which are full of vitamins and minerals. Healthy food in the food court gives people the opportunity to be healthy, to try new things and to decrease their risk of getting type 2 diabetes. Addressing disadvantage The disadvantage may be people suffering from high blood sugar levels. These people would have fresh, tasty food to choose from in the food court, which would help lower people high blood sugar levels and hopefully change their habits of unhealthy eating. Valuing local culture/knowledge/skills/resources Offering healthy Australian food at the workplace would encourage more people in the workplace to eat
